Does there exist a fan so fanatic
that they can resist the urge
to take over for the author and write
their own version of the material?
It's particularly tempting with series
fiction where there will never be a
conclusion to the story: while it's
popular, no one wants to kill the An interesting touch for

In the case of "Skip Beat", I find myself
imagining how Ren and Kyoko will get past
their impass, I sketch out dialog that SKIP_BEAT
closes with Kyoko making the sexual

As for Kyoko's desire for
"revenge": she needs to
dabble in the "idol" business
to do a direct confrontation
with her ex, so she'll need
to become a singer, and
release a popular single.
But then, that's built-in to
the original opening of the
"Skip Beat" anime:
Kyoko has released a song
called "Dream Star"-- which "I thought that dreams were

So once again,
the beginning
shows you the ending.
