Looking through his list of 
maxims, I like the general
drift, but take this one:

  "Technical Solutions Won't Solve Social Problems"

Myself, when I try to get at that complex of
ideas, I tend to say things like:

  Technological decisions are typically
  social decisions in disguise.
                                                   
And really, you can can come up with technological      
ideas that might at least ameliorate some social        
problems.  It is true though that there are a lot       
of problems with the ways we're using technology        
and they look like they might be addressed by some      
social changes -- e.g. changes in the law, changes      
in styles of funding, perhaps changes in our social     
habits of what kinds of "platforms" we're willing       
to use.                                                 
                                                        
                                                       
                    But yeah, I kinds sorta agree that the people
                    who claim "technology alone" can fix a problem
                    are being nutty, but I would start out by asking
                    where you're going to find this barefoot
                    technology going about without socks.
