When you talk about the history of the underground
"revolutionary" groups active in the US in the 70s, you
run the risk of making it sound like this was the only
thing going on on the left, when really there were much
saner things happening as well-- and crazier things
that were no where near as nasty-- I wouldn't want to
make it sound like the Weathermen-types were more
representative than they really were.

I gather that both Rick Perlstein and Eric Alterman have recieved
some pushback from old 60s radicals on this point--

some exasperation that that he didn't mean to imply
anything like that.

       
If you found converadroids trying to use "Days        
of Rage" as proof that the left is totally     
crazy, the correct response is obvious: "not        
all lefties--", and "many of you righties, too"
