                                             November 8, 2021

Circa 2013, the voters in SF passed a resolution
to restrict construction along the coastline.

  This absolutely incensed some free-market
fundamentalists, who like to label things You get people like
this like a vote for higher rents. Matt Yglesias and
                                                        Noah Smith taking
                                                        like this.
A terrible thing, isn't it, to actually
decide to preserve at least a *part* of the
city and not let developers put up anything
     they want anywhere they want.

The next thing you know, the State of
California is going to come up with some
crazy declaration that the beaches belong
to everyone and you can't just buy one and
call it your own private preserve.

And what are we doing with things like public
parks inside the San Francscio city borders?
Why haven't we gotten rid of that damn Golden
Gate Park already and turned it into condos?
