"Agent Provocateurs" are a common 
technique established government's
use against dissident factions.
                            
These are definitely still in
use, certainly they're used by      REGES
the US government.


Provocateurs "infilitrate "   
organizations by joining them 
the way any one else would.
                         
They then attempt to stir up 
trouble inside the organization.
                    
   A common manuever is    
   to insist that the      
   time has come for       
   violent revolution. 
                                             THE_THEORY_OF_CONSPIRACY

         If you talk the fools into doing
         some actionable "direct action"
         all well and good; if you
         convince the reasonable folks
         that the fools are all a bunch
         of fools, even better.

             And if all you do is
             provoke a witchhunt 
             for provocateurs,
             that's fine too.
